Viega Profipress G wall plate 15 X 1/2 (2625.5)

This Viega wall plate is part of the Viega Profipress gas pipe system and can be used for gas, liquid gas (domestic and commercial use), heating oil, diesel fuel and compressed air in combination with a copper pipe.

In addition to this wall plate, the Viega Profipress G range includes various press fittings such as:

• curves,
• wall plates,
• T-pieces,
• transition couplings.

Properties

The Viega wall plate has an operating temperature of -20°C to 70°C with gas and liquid gas, and a maximum pressure of 5 bar. For heating oil and diesel fuel, the maximum operating temperature is 40°C with a pressure of -0.5 to 5 bar.

Quality mark

This Viega gas coupling has the Gastec QA quality mark. This makes it suitable for gas pipes. This is also indicated by the yellow marking on the coupling.

Assembly

The pressing can be completed with the Viega tool.

Pressing takes just 3 steps:

• Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent a noisy pipe.
• Mark the insertion depth and slide the pipe into the coupling up to the marking.
• Check that the press jaw is in the center of the raised edge and press the wall plate.
• Thanks to the SC-Contur, unpressed connections are immediately detected during a press inspection. If the pressing is not performed correctly, water will leak from the coupling without it detaching from the pipe when pressure is applied.

After installation, the system must be checked for leaks. For a dry pressure test, the pressure range is between 22 mbar and 3 bar.
