Properties

The Uponor multilayer pipe with a protective sleeve is oxygen-tight, preventing oxygen from entering and ensuring the supply pipe remains corrosion-resistant. The pipe is dimensionally stable yet can be bent by hand or tool, making it easy to install. The corrugated protective sleeve protects the multilayer pipe. These properties contribute to a longer lifespan of the Uponor gas piping system.

Material

The Uponor pipe consists of multiple layers with a protective sleeve. The inner and outer layers are made of PE-RT I plastic, with aluminum sandwiched between them.

Assembly

To install the multilayer pipe, you must use the Uponor tool. The multilayer pipe can be bent by hand, but using the bending tool allows for a clean bend.

Pressing takes just a few steps:

• Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent a noisy pipe.
• Slide the tube into the coupling until it is fully visible in the viewing window.
• Perform the pressing with the correct tools.

After pressing, a density test must still be carried out.
