S-Press PLUS transition coupling BENELUX 16-R15mm CU

This Uponor S-Press Plus press fitting is used to connect multilayer pipes and copper pipes in water and heating systems. The fitting has both a press and a male thread. Thanks to its Kiwa quality mark, this fitting is suitable for drinking water installations.
The robust coupling can be installed in just three steps: cutting, inserting, and pressing. No deburring or calibration required, resulting in a finished connection.

To assemble

S-Press Plus couplings are pressed using crimping pliers. This technique has been used very successfully for many years. The inspection window makes it easy to check whether the pipe's insertion depth is correct. Each diameter is color-coded on the crimping ring. The color coding on the crimping jaws matches that on the coupling. The color-coded film can be easily removed after pressing, so it's clear that the coupling has been pressed correctly.
To crimp the copper pipe, slide the union nut and cutting ring onto the copper pipe and insert the pipe into the fitting. Tightening the union nut causes the compression ring to cut into the pipe, creating a secure connection. The union nut and cutting ring must be ordered separately.

Properties

This press fitting has a diameter of 25 mm and is made of 22 mm copper. It is supplied without a union nut and cutting ring. The press sleeve is made of stainless steel, and the housing is made of tinned brass. For drinking water, the operating temperature ranges from 0 to 70°C at a maximum continuous operating pressure of 10 bar.
