This VSH 90° elbow reducer is used for drinking water, heating systems, compressed air, and gas lines. With a brass compression fitting, you can easily create a safe and leak-free connection without welding, soldering, or pressing. The compression fitting can be reused; however, the compression ring must be replaced.

In addition to this 90° transition elbow, the range includes various couplings, such as:
  • Clamp ring.

Properties

This VSH 90° reducing elbow with a high-tensile edge has a medium temperature range of -35°C to +200°C, with a short-term peak temperature of +250°C. The maximum operating pressure is 10 bar at 20°C. The coupling can be used with copper, stainless steel, or thin-walled galvanized steel pipes.

Assembly

With a brass compression fitting, you can easily create a strong and reliable connection without any special tools. All you need is a wrench to tighten the fitting, a pipe cutter to cut the pipe to size, and a deburrer to neaten the edges. The compression ring in the fitting ensures a leak-free connection.

Installing a compression coupling in a water pipe is done as follows:
  • Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent noisy piping.
  • Slide the tube into the compression fitting up to the stop edge.
  • Tighten the clamp nut hand-tight.
  • Then tighten the compression fitting with a wrench;
  • 12 and 15 mm with 1 complete turn.
  • 22mm with a half to three-quarter turn.
  • 28mm or more with approx. three-quarter turn.
Caution: If the nut is tightened too much, there is a risk of leakage.
