This Bonfix reducing socket can be used to make a connection between copper pipes and fittings or between two different sized pipes.

Resources

To create a watertight and/or gas-tight connection to the pipe, you must remove grease and dirt before making the connection. You can use cleaners and degreasers for cleaning.

Assembly

It's important to cut the pipe straight when soldering the brass solder fitting to the pipe. You can do this with a pipe cutter. This reducing sleeve is connected using soft soldering. You first apply solder to the sleeve, then connect the pipe. The solder is heated at the narrow gap between the sleeve and the copper pipe and is drawn in, making the connection watertight or gas-tight.

Quality mark

In addition to the Kiwa quality mark, this reducing socket also has the Gastec QA quality mark, and can therefore be used for both gas and drinking water installations.
