BONFIX Solder red copper socket 22 mm

Red copper solder fittings can be used with red copper pipes. If placed in a visible location, you can maintain the same red copper appearance. However, red copper solder fittings are less durable than brass solder fittings. This red copper socket, for example, can be used to connect two pipes and has an internal capillary tube with a diameter of 22 mm on both ends.

To ensure a watertight and/or gas-tight connection to the water pipe, you must remove grease and dirt before making the connection. You can use cleaners and degreasers for cleaning.

Assembly

It's important to cut the pipe straight when soldering the brass solder fitting to the pipe. You can do this with a pipe cutter . This red copper socket can be hard-soldered. First, you apply solder to the socket, then connect the pipe. The solder is heated at the narrow gap between the socket and the copper pipe, and is drawn in, making the connection watertight or gas-tight.
