This mounting bracket with wall plates is used to connect a faucet to the water supply. The advantage of wall plates mounted to a mounting bracket is that the center-to-center distance is standardized for the faucet.

To ensure a watertight connection to the pipe, you must remove grease and dirt before making the connection. You can use cleaners and degreasers for cleaning.

Assembly

Place the mounting bracket on the wall at the height where you want to install the faucet. It's important that the copper pipes are cut straight when soldering the solder fittings to the pipes; you can do this with a pipe cutter. This mounting bracket is connected to the pipes using solder. First, you apply solder and then connect the pipe. Then, heat the solder fitting, and once it's hot enough, hold the solder against the narrow gap between the wall plate and the copper pipe. The solder will be drawn in by capillary action, making the connection watertight.
