With an Atlantic Explorer V4 boiler with integrated heat pump, you can enjoy domestic hot water all year round with better efficiency than a high-efficiency boiler.
The appliance has many innovative features and is compatible with solar energy (photovoltaic panels or solar collectors) and solo boilers (built-in coil exchanger).
Good for the environment and your wallet
The Explorer heat pump water heaters are highly energy-efficient. The heat pump draws two-thirds of the energy required from the ambient air to heat tap water to 60°C. Electricity is only required to operate the pump. As a result, the Explorer consumes 60 to 70% less electricity than a conventional water heater. Thanks to the Smart Control function, the Explorer adapts to your lifestyle and anticipates your comfort needs, taking consumption into account.
Connection to PV (solar energy)
Due to the tightening of the Dutch net metering scheme, which makes feeding power back into the grid increasingly unattractive, the heat pump boiler is becoming a very attractive system for homes with PV panels. By connecting your PV system to the Explorer heat pump boiler, you can store excess energy in the boiler tank for free. In this application, you use the heat pump boiler as a battery, storing the excess generated energy. By sustainably generating hot water through the combination of the heat pump and PV system, you not only save electricity but also significantly on gas.
Adjustable air ducts
The Explorer features adjustable intake and exhaust ducts, allowing you to easily adjust the direction of the exhausts (upward, backward, or sideways).
