This PVC repair sleeve is used when it's not possible to slide a sleeve over the drain pipe. This can happen, for example, with a sewer pipe set in concrete.

The socket has an internal adhesive connection to a tapered spigot connection. The spigot end fits into a drain pipe, and a drain pipe or fitting can be placed in the socket end.
