Viega Insertion sleeve 54 (2211.5)

This press-fit socket is part of the Viega Profi/Sanpress central heating, air, and water piping system and, in combination with a T-piece, provides water renewal in a branching ring main up to 15 meters long.

Because the insert press fitting is made of bronze, it is corrosion-resistant, hygienic, and has a long service life. The union nut is made of brass. The insert press fitting is ideal for use with stainless steel pipes of classes 316 and 444.

In addition to this insert press bush, the Viega Profi/Sanpress range includes various press fittings such as:

Properties

The Viega push-in press fitting has a maximum operating temperature range of 85°C with a maximum pressure of 16 bar for drinking water systems. For central heating pipe systems, the maximum operating temperature range is 110°C with a maximum pressure of 16 bar. For compressed air, the maximum operating temperature is 60°C with a maximum pressure of 150 mbar.

Quality mark

This Profi/Sanpress press fitting has the Kiwa quality mark. This makes it suitable for drinking water systems. This is also indicated by the green marking on the coupling.

Assembly

The Profi/Sanpress insert socket is connected to the Viega tool using a press connection based on the Venturi principle.

For a wet pressure test, the pressure range is 1.0–6.5 bar, and for a dry pressure test, the pressure range is 22 mbar–3.0 bar. A clear drop in pressure is visible on the gauge during a dry pressure test.
