Microflex insulated pipes are equipped with thermal insulation and a sheathing, and constructed according to the "closed chamber" principle. These pipes are suitable for transporting heating water, but also (hot) drinking water, wastewater, and other liquids. Because these pipes are well insulated, they are highly resistant to external influences such as stress, microorganisms, temperature fluctuations, etc. The corrosion-free medium-pressure pipe, made of PE, has unique chemical resistance, a very long service life (even at high pressures and temperatures), and maximum resistance to age-related cracking.

Properties

This Microflex Quadro insulated pipe is suitable for heating systems. The pipe has two heating pipes and two sanitary pipes. The Quadro is designed to transport heating water (with supply and return lines) and is equipped with a hot water pipe and a circulation pipe. The outer sheath is made of HDPE and protects the transport pipes and the insulation material, while the corrugated structure of the sheath provides flexibility along the length. The insulation ensures almost no heat loss. The Microflex Quadro has an insulating center piece made of PE foam, which ensures effective separation between the supply, return, hot water, and circulation pipes. The maximum pressure for central heating applications is 6 bar, and 10 bar for domestic hot water.

This pipe is not suitable for use as a supply line with both hot and cold water due to the risk of legionella.

Fix point

To absorb the potential effects of thermal expansion or contraction of Microflex media lines, a fixation point is required. Failure to use these fixation points, or failing to anchor them, can result in serious damage to the piping network and connected equipment.

Material

• Corrosion-resistant transport pipe in cross-linked PE-Xa according to DIN 16892/16893, with yellow oxygen diffusion screen according to DIN 4726 for the heating pipes.
• Thermal, elastic, CFC-free polyethylene foam insulation made from cross-linked PE-X with closed microcell structure.
• Minimum water absorption capacity of <1% according to DIN 53428.
• Corrugated HDPE pipe, manufactured according to the closed chamber principle, for high-quality protection of the piping system.
