This Wavin Monoline adapter is used in water and gas systems to create a transition to a smaller or larger pipe. The adapter allows you to create a connection using butt welding (or butt welding) and electrofusion.

Properties

This Monoline reducer has a medium temperature range of 5°C to 20°C. For water systems, it has a maximum operating temperature of 20°C with a working pressure of 16 bar. For gas systems, the maximum operating temperature is 20°C with a working pressure of 10 bar.

This Wavin adapter has Kiwa and Gastec QA certification. This makes the electrofusion adapter suitable for drinking water and gas.

Assembly

This Wavin transition piece creates a transition. To make an electrofusion connection between a PE pressure pipe and a pressure fitting, you need a PE cleaner, a peeling device, clamps, an electrofusion sleeve, and a welding machine. During welding, the spiral in the electrofusion fitting heats up, fusing the two components together. This creates a strong, tensile-resistant, gas- and watertight connection.

The welding process

• Cut the pipe at a right angle with a pipe cutter and indicate the insertion length +2 mm.
• Peel the tube with the peeling device and clean the tube with pe cleaner.
• Join the pipe and transition piece together, avoiding the weld surface, and secure the pipes with clamps.
• Apply the electrofusion sleeve.
• Connect the welding machine, scan the barcode and start the welding process.
• Check the indicator pins, they should have come out all the way.
• Disconnect and remove the welding cables and fixation clamps after the specified cooling time.
• Wait at least 2 hours before pressurizing the piping system.
