This Wavin Monoline electrofusion T-piece 90° is used in water and gas systems to make a connection between 3 PE pipes or pressure fittings.

In addition to the electrofusion T-piece 90°, the electrofusion coupling range includes various fittings, such as:

Properties

This Monoline 90° T-piece has a maximum operating temperature of 20°C with a working pressure of 16 bar for water systems. For gas systems, the maximum operating temperature is 20°C with a working pressure of 10 bar.

Quality mark

This Wavin 90° T-piece has Kiwa and Gastec QA certification. This makes the electrofusion fitting suitable for drinking water and gas.

Assembly

This 90° T-piece connects three pipes or fittings. To weld a PE pressure pipe to a welded coupling, you'll need a PE cleaner, a peeling device, clamps, and a welding machine. Electrofusion heats the spiral in the electrofusion fitting, fusing the two components together. This creates a strong, tensile-resistant, gas- and watertight connection. Butt welding can also be used.

The welding process

• Place the T-piece 90° on the pipe and mark the spot with a marker.
• Remove the T-piece 90° from the pipe, use the peeling device and remove the burrs.
• Clean the area with PE cleaner and, if necessary, re-indicate the length.
• Reposition the T-piece 90° around the pipe and tighten the screws.
• Connect the welding machine, scan the barcode and start the welding process.
• Check the indicator pins, they should have come out all the way.
• Disconnect and remove the welding cables and fixation clamps after the specified cooling time.
• Wait at least 2 hours before pressurizing the piping system.
