S-Press PLUS copper/stainless steel transition 16-15CU

This Uponor transition coupling, type S-Press Plus, is used in water pipes to create a transition from a multilayer pipe to a copper pipe. The coupling features a press connection and a spigot for transitioning to a copper pipe.

Properties

The Uponor transition coupling has an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C for drinking water systems, with a maximum pressure of 10 bar. For central heating systems, the maximum operating temperature is 80°C with a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar. This robust coupling features high tensile strength up to 1600 N and optimized flow, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.

Assembly

To press the connector, use the Uponor tool. The connector is equipped with inspection windows and is color-coded for additional inspection during installation. The advantage of Uponor S-Press Plus is that deburring and calibration are not required. You can find the necessary tutorials and installation tips via the QR code on the connector.

Installation takes just a few steps.
The pressing process is as follows:

• Straighten the pipe to size using a pipe cutter.
• Insert the pipe into the press fitting until it is visible in the viewing window.
• Start the pressing process.

Assembly for the copper transition:

• Straighten the pipe to size using a pipe cutter, deburr the ends and clean the surface to be connected.
• Slide the compression fitting over the copper pipe and connect it with the transition coupling.
• Tighten the clamp nut hand tight and then tighten with a wrench.
