This TECElogo AKB pipe, also known as a multilayer pipe, is used in drinking water and central heating systems. It is particularly ideal for use with underfloor heating systems, where flexibility and prolonged exposure to higher temperatures are essential.

Properties

The TECElogo pipe has a maximum working temperature of 70 °C with a maximum pressure of 10 bar for drinking water and central heating pipe systems.

Material

The TECElogo pipe consists of multiple layers. The inner layer is made of PE-RT plastic, which makes the pipe easy to bend. The intermediate layers consist of an adhesive layer, and the aluminum makes the pipe oxygen-tight. The outer layer consists of a protective layer of PE-RT.

Assembly

To install the multilayer pipe, you can use the handy tool case, which includes pipe cutters, calibration tools, and beveling tools. Because the TECElogo system uses push-in fittings, you don't need any special press tools.

Mounting the tube takes just a few steps:

• Cut the pipe to size with pipe cutters and deburr the ends to prevent a noisy pipe.
• Insert the tube into the coupling and check through the inspection window whether the tube is inserted far enough into the fitting.
• The clamp ring in the coupling creates a strong connection, with the O-ring providing the seal.
• Did you make a bad connection? Use the disassembly wrench to disassemble the connection.

After installation, the system must still be checked for tightness.
