Viega Prestabo bend 45 degrees 22 (1126)

This Prestabo bend 45°C, type 1126, is part of the Viega Prestabo central heating pipe system.

The Prestabo press fitting system is suitable for industrial and central heating installations. The system, including the 45°C bend, is not suitable for drinking water installations. This can be recognized by the red marking on the 45°C bend.

The 45°C bend may only be combined with non-alloyed steel.

In addition to this 45°C bend, the Viega Prestabo range includes various press fittings such as:

• welding pieces,
• transition couplings,
• T-pieces,
• adapters.

Assembly

The Prestabo 45°C bend is connected to the Viega tool by means of a press connection.

Pressing takes just 3 steps:

• Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent a noisy pipe.
• Mark the insertion depth and slide the pipe into the coupling up to the marking.
• Press the fitting. The inner ring will pinch and "cut" into the pipe, creating a secure connection.

Thanks to the SC-Contur, unpressed connections are immediately detected during a press inspection. If the pressing is not performed correctly, water will leak from the coupling without it detaching from the pipe when pressure is applied.

For a wet pressure test, the pressure range is 1.0–6.5 bar, and for a dry pressure test, the pressure range is 22 mbar–3.0 bar. A clear drop in pressure is visible on the gauge during a dry pressure test.
