Viega Prestabo XL T-piece 76.1 X 3/4 X 76.1 (1117.2XL)

This Prestabo XL reducing T-piece, type 1117.2XL, is part of the Viega Prestabo central heating pipe system.

The Prestabo press fitting system is suitable for industrial and central heating installations. The system, including the reducing T-piece, is not suitable for drinking water installations. This can be recognized by the red marking on the XL reducing T-piece.

The XL reducing T-piece may only be combined with non-alloyed steel.

In addition to this transition T-piece, the Viega Prestabo range includes various press fittings such as:

Assembly

The Prestabo XL reducing T-piece is connected to the Viega tool by means of a press connection.

Pressing takes just 3 steps:

• Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent a noisy pipe.
• Mark the insertion depth and slide the pipe into the coupling up to the marking.
• Press the fitting. The inner ring will pinch and "cut" into the pipe, creating a secure connection.

Thanks to the SC-Contur, unpressed connections are immediately detected during a press inspection. If the pressing is not performed correctly, water will leak from the coupling without it detaching from the pipe when pressure is applied.

For a wet pressure test, the pressure range is 1.0–6.5 bar, and for a dry pressure test, the pressure range is 22 mbar–3.0 bar. A clear drop in pressure is visible on the gauge during a dry pressure test.
