The E-BOX PLUS D includes built-in communication functionality , but does not support advanced external communication protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, BACnet, KNX, LON, EtherNet/IP, CANOpen or PROFIBUS. Functions such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (WLAN), 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G networks are also not applicable. Interfaces such as 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, PWM, PT100/PTC or pulse counters are not supported . Floating contacts or RS232/RS485 connections are also not included.

The earth connection is of the 'other' type , and the E-Box is supplied including a cabinet for a complete, ready-made solution. The cable length of the unit is 0 meters; installation must therefore take place with external cabling.
